HDR is looking for a leader for our Construction Control Corporation (CCC) group in Florida.

Primary Responsibilities

This senior level position is a key position charged with growth and development of HDR's Construction Services program in Florida. Primary duties of this leadership role include management of the day-to-day operations for the Construction Services group in Florida including business development, marketing, pursuits, staffing, project financials, training, and QA oversight. In addition, this person may serve as a Project/Construction Manager on projects such as design-build transportation, program management, and construction engineering and inspection. They will support project services provided such as CPM schedule support, project controls support, construction engineering and inspection, and construction management. They will serve as client manager and establish client relations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field
  • 10 years of experience in the Transportation CEI industry
  • Excellent communications and organization skills a must
  • Requires good leadership skills, including positive attitude
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and directly with department and management staff
  • Must have the respect of in-house and field staff
  • Thorough understanding of construction management standards of practice, and familiarity with construction scheduling processes, materials, means and methods of construction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) is desirable
  • Business development skills, knowledge of local market, clients, and competition, and known in the industry is desirable.
  • Business acumen to drive operational results.
  • FDOT experience
