POSITION SUMMARY: The haul truck operator is responsible for hauling blasted rock from working face to the Crusher.

Production

• Ensuring equipment is operated safely and efficiently
• Monitoring equipment conditions and noting necessary maintenance requirements.
• Insure that the haul truck is properly inspected prior to shift operation and all conditions noted.
• Maintain thorough communications with Mine Manager to inform of equipment status or conditional changes.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the haul truck and in working area of the quarry.

Reporting

• Record equipment status on Pre-Shift / Work place exam forms.
• Follow Safe Quality Food guidelines.

Safety

• Attend scheduled safety meetings.
• Enforce all applicable safety policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Promote safety among co-workers.
• Participate in Behavior Based Safety program.

Backup

• To back up any qualified position as assigned by supervisor.
• To be backed up by any qualified team member as assigned by supervisor.

Other

• Perform or assist with maintenance tasks as required.
• Understand and work within Safe Quality Food certification requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year experience industrial experience is preferred

REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED equivalent, or demonstrated skills or ability.
