Job Title: Facilities Management Assistant PRN

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing the Facilities Management Assistant is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) facilities, equipment and property.

Areas of Responsibility to Include (but not limited to):

• Monitors and maintains facility log books and all documentation in accordance with AZ Department of Health/CMS standards.
• HVAC knowledge and ability to operate HVAC equipment
• Boiler knowledge and ability to work with building engineers regarding operations affecting the surgery schedule
• Emergency Generator operation and preventive maintenance knowledge
• Building maintenance knowledge and skill set which may include minor electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, drywall repairs, painting, phone systems, IT systems, and basic computer skills which include the use of work order software system.
• Experience and knowledge in working in a Healthcare/Surgical environment with patients, clean rooms, and sub-sterile rooms.
• Equipment Repair knowledge- Coordinate medical equipment maintenance, repairs, and capital purchase.
• Able to respond to emergency callbacks within 45 minutes maximum if needed.

• Responsible for the completion or coordinating all maintenance service requests as assigned.
• Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
• Schedule and manage construction projects according to lLSM-ICRA/APIC standards for healthcare
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled if needed.
• Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
• Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
• Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment.
• Additional duties as assigned.
