Description

Hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8:45am - 5:15pm with 1-2 Saturdays a month from 8:45am - 2:15pm.

Role:

Represents the credit union in a professional manner when greeting members and the public on the phone and in person, at the reception desk, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate person. Accepts mail, packages, and deliveries at the reception desk and ensures they are picked up or distributed to the appropriate person or department. Assists Outbound, Inbound, and Call Center employees with loan requests, providing clerical and administrative support needed to process, close, or modify member loans.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Processes approved loans and makes disbursements.
  • Answers the main switchboard and directs caller/member to the appropriate person or department.
  • Greets the public when they enter the credit union. Determines their needs and directs them to the appropriate person.
  • Receives mail/packages and distributes to the appropriate person or department.
  • Monitors Capture queue and files documents to the appropriate account for retention

Performance Measurements:

  • Greets visitors in a courteous, friendly, timely, and professional manner.
  • Announces each visitor before directing to the asked-for party
  • Answers the telephone in an accurate, courteous, friendly, and professional manner
  • Directs phone calls to the appropriate person with minimum transfers
  • Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor for greeting visitors
  • Ensures accurate research and correct files are pulled and forwarded to other departments.
  • Processes loans and performs account maintenance in a timely manner with appropriate paperwork and documentation.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:


Experience: One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Must be able to multi-task. Interruptions will occur during workflow processes and must be able to handle several tasks at the same time. Must have good communication skills. Multiline phone system operations. Strong, friendly voice and good diction. Keyboard and 10-key calculator skills.
