Aspect Consulting, a Geosyntec Company, has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse & Equipment Specialist in our Seattle, WA office. Working under the direction of the Senior Facilities Specialist, the Warehouse & Equipment Specialist will ensure the efficient operation of our field equipment warehouse and manage equipment-related needs for our technical consulting staff. In this role, you will work independently while having the opportunity to collaborate with employees across various Aspect offices to ensure supplies and equipment needs are met. In this role, key responsibilities will include maintaining equipment databases, understanding equipment operation and function, assuring equipment is maintained and available, and providing training to others on its usage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the employee include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Manage incoming and outgoing shipments at our field supplies annex.
  • Keep the warehouse and equipment clean and well-organized.
  • Monitor and maintain an equipment-tracking database.
  • Learn to operate, maintain, calibrate, and perform minor maintenance of field equipment (e.g., pH meter, photo ionization detector (PID), water level indicator, submersible pumps, etc.).
  • Manage the use and maintenance of a small fleet of vehicles.
  • Purchase and maintain inventory of necessary supplies for field and office work.
  • Train new staff on processes and equipment use.
  • Work with vendors to troubleshoot problems, schedule maintenance and repair of equipment, and place orders.
  • Establish and maintain soil sample storage and disposal procedures.
  • Maintain relevant documentation.
  • Perform related work as required.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). (required)
  • Related work experience. (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation, for business travel. (required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn additional software systems. (required)
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret instruction manuals, office procedures, software and hardware manuals, and other documents. (required)
  • Proficiency in writing correspondence, procedures, and presentations that conform to prescribed style and format. (required)
  • Respond effectively and courteously to inquiries or complaints when interacting with various audiences-ranging from non-technical users to technical professionals, team members, and vendors. (required)
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and compute rates, ratios, and percents. (required)
  • Ability to work for hours at a time on their feet and regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds unaided and 50-100 pounds with assistance and/or proper engineering. (required)

Below is the potential compensation range that we in good faith believe is applicable for this role at the time of this posting and is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified Washington locations below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Based on state and federal requirements, this position may be hourly and overtime-eligible or salaried eligible for straight-time overtime. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

  • Minimum: $22.19 /hourly / Maximum: $36.73/hourly (Seattle)
