This is a short term, temporary employment opportunity.

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Temporary position. The Payments Specialist II has responsibility for the completion of day-to-day activities including but not limited to wire, debit card, ACH, check clearing and credit card operations. The Payments Specialist II will be responsible for creating positive customer experiences, mitigating potential losses to the bank and displaying strong leadership skills while demonstrating Seacoast Core Competencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Basic knowledge of Federal Regulation E, The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and NACHA Operating Rules and Guidelines
  • Manage workflow to optimize efficiency in day-to-day activities.
  • Determine trends and variances in daily processing and identify areas in which positive changes can be made.
  • Assists teammates in research and completion of tasks.
  • Actively supports a positive teamwork environment
  • Completes timely execution of tasks.
  • Researches and corrects issues.
  • Adheres to regulatory and vendor requirements.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by manager.
  • Has ownership of self-development.
  • Supports management in executing Business Continuity Plan
  • Displays commitment to Seacoasts 4 Promises
  • Adheres to the highest legal and ethical standards applicable to our industry, while observing both the spirit and letter of all government regulations and laws, and bank policies and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to AML/BSA requirements, operational procedures, audit procedures, risk/control expectations, dual control, security, Business Continuity, and all other regulated banking requirements.
  • Adhere to Seacoast Bank's Code of Conduct.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced Word and Excel skills
  • Strong ability to provide outstanding customer service to branches and other department employees.
  • Projects a strong professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude
  • Proven accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining composure, and meeting deadlines.
  • Possess strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Must have excellent communication, organizational, and prioritizing skills.
  • Able to work independently and proactively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and resolve issues.
  • Assists in leading change in the work environment.
  • Proactively asks for help/stretch assignments.
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
  • Three years of experience in processing and transmitting files or ACH/Wire systems, accounting, banking or other directly related experience.
  • Three years Customer Service Experience
  • High school diploma required.
