Student Success and Well-Being Wellness and Health Promotion Services:

Wellness and Health Promotion Services promotes a culture of well-being where students identify and practice lifelong skills that improve quality of life. We are recognized as leaders in dynamic, innovative, and culturally relevant programming that promotes student well-being.

The Opportunity:

The UCF Student Success and Well-Being Wellness and Health Promotion Services is currently accepting applications for a Student Wellness Coordinator II. This position focuses on Nutrition and Outreach initiatives and supports and participates in all wellness programming. Plans and provides nutrition training and cooking classes/demonstrations. This role also organizes peer educators to perform outreach events on a variety of health topics(alcohol and other drugs, nutrition, wellness coaching, sexual health, etc.). Conducts outreach events and workshops.

This is an Auxiliary-funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate campus nutrition initiatives including cooking demonstrations, cooking classes, and workshops.

  • Develop and coordinate health promotion outreach initiatives and the Peer Education program.

  • Provide supervision, training, development and task supervision to graduate and undergraduate students.

  • Create strategic partnerships with key registered student organizations, student agencies, and appropriate academic programs to facilitate health promotion outreach.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in wellness coaching and/or nutrition specialist certification.

  • Food handler and/or kitchen manager certifications.
